Further study brought a more complete unŽderstanding of principles behind the forms of Roman architecture. Leon Battista Alberti's deŽsign of Sant'Andrea in Mantua (1470) adopted a barrel-vaulted nave, whose clearly defined space extends into barrel-vaulted chapels at either side.

All projects entered must have been completed between 1 September 2004 and 31 December 2005 and may not have been entered into the 2005 Interior Design mpanied Design Awards.
